Our History
Riken Americas Corporation, was established on April 1, 2017 as a holding company for our North American business and corporate office for manufacturing and sales. Formed as a joint venture between Riken Technos Corporation and Mitsubishi Corporation and Mitsubishi Corporation (Americas), Riken Americas Corporation is the parent company of Rimtec Corporation and Riken Elastomers Corporation.

Our Experience
With over 25 years of combined experience in the manufacturing of custom compounds, Riken Americas has a rich history in the plastics industry. Our manufacturing plants include, Rimtec Corporation located in Burlington, New Jersey, and Riken Elastomers Corporation located in Hopkinsville, Kentucky. Rimtec Corporation established in January of 1990 for the manufacturing and sale of Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) compounds. Riken Elastomers Corporation was formed in June of 2006 for the manufacturing and sale of high performance Thermoplastic Elastomers (TPE) compounds. In 2016, Riken Elastomers constructed a second manufacturing plant to manufacture PVC compounds.

Our Corporate Mark
Our corporate mark is based on the corporate mark of our parent company, Riken Technos Corporation, in Japan. The “R” is meant to symbolize the reliability of our core business, and the shape of the sweeping wing of a bird in flight which symbolizes our flight into the future. The corporate color is the “RIKEN BLUE,” which signifies the technology-oriented heart of our company that treasures individuality and aims for the future.
